Empowering Women To New Business Opportunities Through Innovation

KUALA LUMPUR, MARCH 1 – Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd (TPM), Malaysia’s pioneer and premier technology park, will host a seminar towards empowering women to tap on new business opportunities through creativity, innovation and technology.

The complimentary seminar, which is open to the public, is expected to attract more than 100 participants. Held in conjunction with the Femina Festival, it is scheduled on Friday, March 8 at Dataran Putrajaya at 10.00 a.m.

It is held concurrently with the launching of the 1 Malaysia Community Perwani and 1 Million Women Purple Walk at Dataran Putrajaya from March 8-10, which is hosted and organized by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community  Development, in celebration of the World Women’s Day.

TPM corporate communication manager, Puan Aniz Adura Abdul Majid will be the key speaker on the topic entitled: “Creating Income Through Innovation”.

She will provide a first-hand insight into the ways and means available for women to use their creativity to increase their earning power and how to tap business opportunities through innovation.  

In addition, she will deliberate on the available assistance provided by TPM through its various exciting and innovative entrepreneurial programmes available for grassroots entrepreneurs.

“TPM, being a key driver of technology and innovation in the country, is keen to assist any would be and existing entrepreneurs to develop their ideas from its conceptualization stage to the commercialization.

“In line with the Government’s encouragement to increase the participation of women in the commercial and industrial sectors, it is our hope that the women community will take bolder steps to capitalize on new opportunities where they could enhance their economic and financial independence,” added Aniz Adura.
