The spirit of caring and sharing during the holy Ramadan month brought by TPM was presented to the less fortunate children by the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar Mohamad Diah.

Also present at the event to assist the children choose their new Hari Raya wear was TPM President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Ir. Mohd Azman Haji Shahidin, who was accompanied by his team from the Business Development and Corporate Services division.

Azman said the gesture of TPM was to bring cheer to the 40 kids and help spread the festive season joy to the poor in the rural area.

“This initiative by TPM is a part of our corporate social responsibility programme in giving back to society during the festive season.

“We are indeed very touched to witness the happiness and delightful smiles of the kids who have been deprived of such simple things during the festive season. This initiative serves as a reminder to us to always practice compassion and be mindful of our gratitude for all the blessings,” he added.

Besides this event, TPM also donated foodstuff totalling about RM4,000.00 to 200 poor families separately.

TPM’s corporate social responsibility programme also included initiatives that are related to science, technology and innovation at grassroots levels.

Since 2006, Technology Park Malaysia has made it an annual affair to host berbuka puasa celebrations for the underprivileged children with selected rural homes in the Klang Valley and other states.
